About Us
Bright Eyes Early Childhood Centre has been providing quality education and care to children in the Henderson area since 1983.  Bright Eyes is privately owned and is run by a team of caring and dedicated trained staff.  We provide a balanced programme of learning and an extensive range of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

Bright Eyes is centrally located with Unitec, WestCity and Henderson shopping centres being within easy walking distance.  Our boundary adjoins the Henderson Primary School in Montel Avenue.  Click here for map

Our teaching is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.  Reggio Emilia is a small city in Northern Italy that many regard as providing the best preschool education in the world.  We believe that children are confident and competent learners and by providing an environment, which stimulates learning, empowers children to make decisions.

If you are looking for an early childhood learning centre that is ideal for the early developmental years of your child, Bright Eyes offers you all that you could wish for.

We encourage you to visit the Centre to experience first hand the wonderful learning environment that Bright Eyes offers. We suggest that you make an appointment first so that your visit can be arranged away from the busy times.

Situated on over 2,000 square metres of land, we are proud of our large outdoor play area, which is set amongst established trees and gardens.

We have two houses that have been renovated to a high standard to provide attractive indoor play areas in an open plan and safe environment.  This provides a homely environment, which helps to settle new children.

The Infant and Toddler centre caters for children from 3 months to 3 years old.  It is licensed for 16 under 2 year old children and 14 over 2 – 3 year olds.  The Preschool centre caters for 36 children aged between 3 years and 5 years.  We believe that small groups allow children to develop responsive and meaningful relationships with staff and the other children.
